Day 9
Kanab, UT to Las Vegas, NV
We head home today. First night will be in Las Vegas, Mark's first time visiting Las Vegas. Won't he be surprised?


We got on the road on time, regular Utah time!

Sprinklers were left on last night. Anyone ready for ice skating?

We walked five miles down on the Las Vegas Strip and earned our dinner and
Bob had is first $9 milkshake.

 A little trivia, MGM's electricity bill averages $350,000 each month.

 Las Vegas population is 227,000 with an additional 100,000 tourists each day.

Day 8
Our turn to tour to Bryce Canyon National Park. Low temperature this morning is 8 degrees.
Note to self: washing window on a cold morning makes ice on the windshield. Therefore you are warned,  there are more bugs than normal on the windshield.

Also tonight is the tour finale with the closing banquet dinner.

8 degrees at Bryce National Park and the first time I wished I could feel the heat from the engine through the floor boards.

We left earlier than the group to beat the crowds. And glad we did.

 Do we look cold? Look closer. That is what brave looks like.

 Learned first hand why the blue belly lizard is also known as a fence lizard. The brown fence was an excellent source for heat.

2019 KANAB ADVENTURE

Day 7
Filming Tour in the morning, lunch and free afternoon was in today's plan.

We started out in the morning to tour as a full group to the filming locations east of Kanab.

Our free time was used to visit Navajo Bridges.

Heading east, the inside of the car was getting warm.

The views of Arizona were beautiful.

 Local artwork at the gas station and a display of kids works on the fence.

Fuel, water, and determination to take on the head winds back to the hotel.

2019 KANAB ADVENTURE

Day 6
Grand Canyon

We started the day wondering where our neighbor found the metal rod that pierced his tire.

Our tour assignment was the Grand Canyon so we headed south to Arizona to visit the North Rim. There is only one way in and it’s the same way out.

  

 

It’s said to bring you luck if you rub Brighty’s nose. 

After visiting the lodge, we ventured outside to see the view!

And after visiting Imperial Point, started back to the hotel. 

Four friends became our troubleshooting team. The gasoline is boiling in the clear fuel filter.  This seems to be a reoccurring problem when we use gasoline with higher ethanol levels. Good news is it resolved after Mark added Marvel Mystery Oil with every fill-up.
